How to Make an Entrance: The Complete Guide to School Ball Transport in Wellington
Your high school ball is one of the most anticipated events of the year—a night of celebration, formalwear, and creating memories with close friends. While choosing the right dress or suit takes centre stage, your arrival vehicle defines your entrance and sets the tone for the photos you will look back on for years to come.
From venue drops at Te Papa, Venues Wellington, and Lower Hutt Event Centre to pre-ball photos along the Wellington Waterfront or Botanical Gardens, SG Prestige delivers unmatched style, luxury, and peace of mind for students and parents alike.
1. Choosing Your Vibe: Supercar Thrills vs. Classic Elegance
Every ball group has a distinct style. Matching your personality to the vehicle ensures maximum impact when step out onto the red carpet.
- High-Octane Supercar Thrills (Aston Martin V12 Vantage S): Perfect for couples or individuals looking to turn heads. The roar of a naturally aspirated V12 engine and iconic British sports car styling guarantee all eyes are on your arrival.
- Modern Executive Grandeur (Bentley Mulsanne): The ultimate statement in contemporary luxury. Offering spacious seating for up to four passengers, hand-crafted leather, and an imposing road presence, it allows your group to travel together in air-conditioned comfort.
- Timeless Vintage Heritage (1955 Bentley S1 & 1962 Bentley S2): Designed for classic elegance. Featuring iconic chrome grilles, sweeping body lines, and rich wood veneer, these vintage icons offer breathtaking contrast for formal photos.
2. Pre-Ball Photo Locations in Greater Wellington
Your vehicle hire isn’t just for arrival—it serves as a stunning backdrop for pre-ball photo sessions with your group and family. Popular photo stops managed seamlessly by SG Prestige chauffeurs include:

Frequently Asked Questions
How early should we book transport for Wellington school ball season?
Wellington school ball season peaks between May and August. Because vehicles like our Aston Martin and vintage Bentleys are one-of-a-kind in the region, we strongly recommend booking 3 to 6 months in advance to secure your preferred car.
Can we split the cost of a luxury car hire across our group?
Yes. Vehicles that seat up to 4 passengers (such as the Bentley Mulsanne or classic Bentleys) allow couples or small groups to split the hire cost equally, making high-end luxury very accessible per student.
Do you service high schools outside Wellington CBD?
Yes! SG Prestige services schools across the entire region, including Wellington City, Lower Hutt, Upper Hutt, Porirua, the Kāpiti Coast, and Wairarapa.
